HANGING GROVE.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Cook and baby and Paul Cook, of West Point, came up for a visit over Sunday with relatives, and also to attend the Country Club meeting at Simon Cook’s Saturday night. iThere was a basket dinner Coysburg Sunday, given by the Sunday school. Quite a number came out, being more horse-drawn vehicles out Sunday than has been out on Sunday for some time. Rev. W. C. Hensiee, of Francesville, a former pastor here, addressed the audience after dinner, and his talk was very much enjoyed by all. Mr. and Mrs. O. Mannen and two Children, of Plymouth, came Friday evening and visited relatives until Sunday. William E. Zard is visiting relatives at Mitdhell, S. D. Silos are about all filled In Uhls immediate vicinity. Ensilage will be of fine quality this season, being practically all put up without frost. ■ r. There will be jubilee speaking and special music in the Interest of the Founth Liberty Loan at McCoysburg Sunday, Sept. 29, at 3 p. m. Permission has been granted toy the state fuel administration whereby people are. to use their cars to attend .these meetings. Now this will be Hanging Grove township’s meeting, so let nothing keep you away. The following Liberty Loan workers for the township and district have been appointed toy the township chairman. Fair View, Asa Holeman and James Jordan; Parker, Virgil Hobson and S. E. Cook; Moore, George Parker and Warren Poole; Banta, Rollin Stewant and R. L. Bussell; Osborne, fi. B. Snedeker and Joseph Stewart; McCoysburg, John Osborne, Jr., and F. T. Ringeisen. Now every one of these men are just as busy as can be, tout are still glad to sacrifice the time to make this drive, so when they call on you be ready to subscribe promptly, so there will be no delay in putting Hanging Grove over. Mrs. C. C. Randle has change ofc the .women’s loan drive' here and has her work well organized. Mrs. Wash Cook and Mrs. S. E. Cook assisted Mrs. Robert Cook in cooking for silo fillers Wednesday. J. M. Ray will hold a public sale at bis residence Monday, Sept.-30. Mts. C. W. Bussell, Sr., of Hammond, visited the Bussell brothers Friday and Saturday.
