Rev. G. W. Switzer, of Lafayette, was in Rensselaer today. Dr. M. D. Gwin and wife are now in Indianapolis. - Ida Misch returned this morning to xer-home in Wheatfield. The two days old child of Mr. and Mrs. Frank McEney died Wednesday evening.
Kenneth Morrell went to Indiana Harbor where he expects to secure employment. Mrs. Chester Zea went to Hammond this morning. Her husband has a Splendid position in that city. Sheriff B. D. McColly and Orlie Clouse went to Chicago this morning. Mrs. A. P. Gosnell has received word that her husband has landed safely in France. Aaron Hickman and George Putts went to Dyer this morning, where they will do some carpenter work for J. J. Lawler. Peter Nomenson came Wednesday evening. Mr. Nomenson simply cannot remain away from Rensselaer very long at a time. Mrs. A. R. Hopkins, who has been suffering with a felon on her right hand, is improving slowly.
