COLUMBIA TO THE FRAY.
Defiant, now, she takes her stand, And. with her kind protecting hand, i She guides her fighting Yanks across the sea. All honest means she tried in vain To shun the war across the main; Pushed to the brink, She fights for Liberty. Her sacred rights are all at stake; No sacrifice that she can make, But finds her cause now worthy of them all.
