TO PAY QUOTA FROM TAXES
TIPPECANOE COUNTY TAXPAYERS WILL MEET WAR ASSESSMENTS DIRECJ. Lafayette, Sept. 3.—The county council of Tippecanoe county today appropriated $125,000, to be used to support the county’s quota in the patriotic financial campaigns, including the Red Cross, Y. M. C. A., K. of C., Salvation Army and the Jewish War Relief. The action was on the recommendation of the county council of defense. By means of the appropriation, Tippecanoe county will be relieved of the duty of prosecuting drives for these purposes. The money will come from the taxpayers direct. _
