TEACHERS’ INSTITUTE NOTES.
Tuesday afternoon Mrs. Todd continued her work in music. She is still getting splendid response from the institute. Her work is doing much to awaken a lively spirit and create interest in the week’s program. At the conclusion of Mrs. Todd’s work we were favored with a vocal solo by Mass Wilda Littlefield. Mrs. Kelsey held a round table discussion with all those having primary work this year. We hear many favorable comments on Mrs. Kelsey’s work. Dr. Krebs continued his lecture during the closing period taking up in his masterful and entertaining way “The Physical Cure for Worry.” Some of which were, “Drink more pure, fresh water,” more sane physical exercise especially exercise of muscle of thorax and abdomen, proper breathing,' and sitting, and one in which all should be interested, “How to go to sleep. Program Wednesday forenoon was much the s,ame as Tuesday. Dr."" Krebs continued his work on cure 7 for worry, taking up the mental side of the cure, spending most of the time on the ethical, emphasizing two. points, “Do your Duty,” and cultivate love.” Mrs. Petijohn described briefly the importance of the.Y. W. C. A. and made an appeal to the teachers to respond asj liberally as/possible •in the oncoming drive for war help, that that organization is going to put on in the near future.
