The American rubber trade has been more or less seriously threatened ever since the beginning of the great war in 1914. It is, therefore, Interesting to know that there are shrubs, now growing wild in California, that, contain workable quantities of it, andXthat by the cultivation of these it is possible that we may be able to grow our own rubber in the United States.
