FREE MAIL DELIVERY
WILL BEGIN IN RENSSELAER TUESDAY—NO BUSINESS DELIVERY. Owing to the first of September being Labor day the installation of free mail delivery in Rqpsselaer will not take place until Tuesday, September 2nd. There will 'be no delivery in the business section, only one business firm expressinhg the desire to take advantage of the free delivery system, the rest preferring to get their mail an hour or so sooner by calling at the post office. There will be two deliveries a day in the residence section, the carriers leaving the post office at about 8 a. m. and I:3o'p. m. Mail arriving at the post office after 1:30 p. m. will not be delivered until the next dfey unless the mail has a special~delivery stamp attached. Those who have been' in the habit of getting their home papers the evening of press-day will get their papers the next day, as no mail will be given out at the post office to those taking advantage of the free delivery system. Those not taking advantage of the free delivery system can get their mail at the post office as at present. , There will be two regular carriers, Leo and Robert Reeve. Leo will supply about 225 patrons and Robert about .210. Gilbert Albin has been appointed substitute and if he will do so, he will probably be allowed to deliver the parcel post packages, which will require him to have a. wagon of some kind. If he is not willing to do this work it will be turned over to James Swaim, who carries the mail to and from the depot. .
