JAMES SWAIM RESIGNS POSITION AS MAIL CARRIER
James Swaim has tendered his resignation as mail carrier to and from the depot, to take effect on or before October Ist, at which time he hopes a successor will have been appointed. Mr. Swaim has purchased a fine farm at Gloster, Miss., and is making arrangements to move there when released from his duties. Mr. Swaim has been carrying the mail for over a year and has been a most faithful carrier. His two sons are now m the army and until their return he will look after the work on his Southern farm, being assisted by his colored help.
