Peter Maher and Kid Broad, old-time boxers, once walked into a restaurant for dinner, according to a story told us. Maher ordered a mess of fish. “Why the fish, Peter Y’ asked Kid Broad. Friday; it’s Tuesday.” Maher regarded his friend with a smile. “Why, haven’t you ever heard that fish was brain food?” he inquired. “The more fish you eat the more brains you’ll have.*’ i Broad gave more careful attention to the bill of fare.
