Ty Cobb will quit baseball at the end of this season until after the war. He said so the other day in Washington, when he dropped In at the White House to see some of his friends at-' the executive offices. “At the end of this season I’m going to do my duty to my country in the best possible way. I love the game, but the next season will see me out of it for the period of the war.”
