MICHIGAN REPUBLICAN SENATORIAL NOMINATION GOES TO NEWBERRY. f \ Indications seem to point to a landslide for Truman H. Newberry for senator in the Michigan‘primaries held Tuesday, August 27. Governor Chase iS. Osborn runs second and Ford, almost back of the flag, runs third. Newberry has more votes than the entire number cast for Osborn and Ford. The Democratic vote, which is very small, will give Ford a majority for the Democratic senatorial nomination. t ■ . Newberry is a commander ’in the United States navy and at one time was secretary of Ithe navy under America’s foremost statesman, Theodore Roosevelt.
