Handkerchiefs.

If the handkerchiefs are yellow, the reason is that they have not been properly washed. To overcome this yellow color put the handkerchiefs in cold water, in which there is kerosene, abopt one teaspoonful to a quart, and a shaving of good laundry soap. Let the handkerchiefs boil in this about three hours. Take them out, dry in the sun, and they will be snowy white. This treatment will apply to any linen or white clothing.
