UNASSISTED DOUBLE PLAY.

Douglas Baird, Card third sacker, made a put-out at first the other day, and incidentally an unassisted double play. The Cards were' playing the Reds, and with Nealeon first. Wlngo rapped a hot liner straight at Baird. Neale was away with the crack of the bat, as the hit looked safe, but the third baseman speared It and then raced across the diamond to first, beating Neale and taking the put-out himself.
