Cecil Potts, who has been in the navy for more than a year, is home on a fifteen days furlough. He is now on the United States ship Maine. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Shoots and Mrs. Shoots’ mother, Mrs. Eva Morgan, are the guests of the family of E. D. Rhoades. George Long received a letter from Lieut. James Brenner, who is now on the light crosier Albany. Lieut. Brenner is well and asks George to remember him to all his friends. Dr. and Mrs. A. G. Catt have as their guests, Mrs. Catt’s brother, W. C. Marlow and family, of Niagara Falls. The trip to this city was made by automobile. Mr. Marlow is the superintendent of the three great American shredded wheat factories and also of the factory' of that corporation in Canada. Mrs. Roy Pierce, Miss Loucartha Pierce, Miss Marie Timmons, Mrs. B. L. Brenner, Master Ralph Brenner and Mrs. G. Crumpaeker drove down from Valparaiso Monday in Mrs. Pierce’s automobile and spent the day with Mrs. W. 0. Rowles.

The Ladies Home, add Foreign Missionary society of the Presbyterian church meets at the home of Mrs. Vincent Eisele Wednesday, June 10, at 2 p. m. The meeting is being held early so that all who desire may attend the tuberculosis meeting which will be held at the public library at 3 p. m. the same date.
