Mrs. Lizzie V. Cole, of Gas City, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Jordan and family for a few days. Mrs. Oscar Berry will not entertain the Ladies Aid this month as outlined, and the meeting will be postponed through respect for grandmother Robinson, whose death seems almost momentary. Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Hitchings and family visited Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stath near Moody Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Roy and children, of Elwood, are visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Ray for a few days. , A large number of people from here went to Monticello Thursday to spend the Fourth. It was an ideal day for the celebration and White county’s people especially those connected with the days program are to be congratulated on the fine manner in which things were carried out. The address by Mr. Luellon, of Columbia University, was met by continued rounds of applause from the immense crowd of people. Marie Snowberger, of Frankfort, is visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Jordan and other relativcsa Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Parker took dinner with Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Bussell Sunday.
