HANGING GROVE.
Mrs. Chas. Bussell, of Hammond, is visiting her two sons, Roy and Wilson Bussell and families at McCoys- . burg. The funeral of Mrs. George R. Robinson was held at McCoysburg Friday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock and the services was conducted by Rev. Fleming, of .Rensselaer. A large number of friends and relatives gathered to pay their last tribute to the deceased, who had been a resident of Hanging Grove the major portion of her life. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Willits and granddaughter, Mildred Willets visited RusseH Willits in Rensselaer Sunday. „ , , Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Parker and Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Bussell and Mrs. C. W. Bussell took dinner with Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Bussell Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Miller visited Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jabel Sunday. x __ Work on the new store at McCoysburg is being pushed asrapidly as possible and will prob&bly be ready to move into in about ten days. The War Savings Stamps drive was completed in Hanging Grove Saturday and the report and names of the committee workers Chairman R. L. Bussell is as follows: McCoysburg, Mrs. John Osborne and Mrs. O. E. Hitchings, assisted by R. L. Bussell 166 stamps; Moore distract, Geo. Parker and Warren Poole, 150 stamps; Fair Oaks, James and Cecil Jordan, 115 stamps; Banta, Rollin J. Stewart, 81 stamps; Osborne, S. B. Snedeker and Joseph Stewart, 70 stamps; Parker, Virgil Hobson, 55 stamps; totaling $3,185.00 maturity value. Our quota was >8,640.00. Some of those who pledged themselves did their best while others did their bit. A second drive may be necessary to bring our county up. However, when the final count is made we may be very near the top.
