OBITUARY.
Bertie Hitchings Branson, dangle ter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Hitchings, was born in Newton county, Indiana, December 9, 1888, and departed this life June 17, 1918. Age 29 years, 6 months and 8 days. On June 27, 1915, she was united in marriage to Lee Branson and to this union was born one child. She had been in failing health for several months and day by day the eternal home grew nearer and nearer until the doors were open and she walked peacefully in. She was a member of the Beaver Prairie Universalist church and died believing in the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhoow of man. It seems sad to see her go so young, but the most beautiful flowers are plucked when, in their fullest bloom. She leaves to mourn their loss, a broken hearted husband, the little daughter, father, mother, two brothers, one sister and many other relatives and friends. The funeral was held Wednesday at 2 p. m. in the Foresman church and was conducted by Rev. Becket, of Galveston, Indiana. Interment was made in the Weston cemetery at Rensselaer, Indiana.
