Deaf Man Tells of Sensations He Experienced at a Piano Recital. New York.—That a highly’ sensitive deaf person is able to “hear” music through his feet was demonstrated at the last piano recital given recently by Josef Hofmann here. Jean Paul Gruet. a young deaf man, gave this Impression of the recital : “The main emotion I felt from the floor and again in the unsupported lighter parts of the body, such as the arms and finger tips.
