Comer and daughter, Marie, went to Chicago this morning. Mrs. Anson Cox came down from Hammond to visit with friends. Mrs. Earnest Moore left this morning for Hattiesburg, Miss. The weather has turned much cooler after a light shower Thursday afternoon.

Mrs. Lornida McGlinn went to Momence today to visit with relatives. Mrs. J. E. Harrod s went to Indianapolis this morning to look after some business affairs. Mrs. Kenton Parkison and two sons went to Muncie today to visit Mr. and Mrs. Emory Mills. A. G. Hendrix, of San Pierre, is spending a few days in Rensselaer. He was a veteran in the civil war. Anyone wishing to see me will find me in the Trust & Savings bank on Saturday afternoons. H. O. Harris, phone IM R. W. Knickerbocker went to the Sweeney Auto and Tractor school in Kansas City for three months instruction. He went throught by auto.

Havey was in the best of health and enjoying the service. E. K. Godshall went to Lafayette this morning to visit with his son, Elmer, who is coming from Hempstead, N. Y. Elmer is in the aviation corps and having only a few days furlough, his father, brothers and sisters are all going to visit with him at the home of his sister, Mrs. George Peters in Lafayette.
