HANGING GROVE.
The Ladies Aid will meet with Mrs. Geo. Johnson Wednesday afternoon, April 3rd. Several of our farmers went to Rensselaer Saturday to get their seed corn, the corn was grown last year in Missouri and appears to be of good quality. The Third Liberty Loan canvass will be made here next week, beginning, however, with next Saturday, which is set out as the opening day. Chairman R. L. Bussell has named the following workers to assist in the canvass, and the school district in which* they will work. Rollin Stewart, Parker; James Jordan, Fairview; Brook Snedeker, Osborne; John Osborne, Jr., Banta; Frank T. Ringeisen, Moore; R. L. Bussell, McCoysburg. ’ Mrs. Robert Cook returned home Wednesday from a visit with relatives at Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. -Chas. Reed attended the funeral of Mrs. Wm. Bennett at Rensselaer Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Erb and two children, Harold and Esther, visited relatives at Harvey, 111., over Sunday. f Miss Leonia Snedeker is assisting Mrs. Rollin Ste Wart with her house work.
