I Eighteen Eastern Institutions Abandon I All Sports Because of War In France. I Eighteen colleges in four Eastern I states have dropped athletics because ■of the war, according to returns from la questionnaire distributed by Prof. I Frederick B. Well of the College of I the City of New York. The colleges I are in New York, New Jersey, PennsylIvanla and West Virginia. I Twenty-two colleges have elimlinated all pre-season coaching and the Bothers have cut down the period. Twen-Ity-three colleges have dispensed with k training table, and the other three ■answering kept it only for football.
