CITY COUNCIL DOINGS.

The city council met in regular session Monday evening with all members present except Fred Waymire, councilman from the third ward. In the natter of greater gardens in the city comes now W. D. Bringle, chairman of the garden committee of the Jasper county council of defense,and asks that the council appoint assistants to co-oper-ate with him in this city. On motion the council now appoints Rev. J. B. Fleming, Father Chrisian Daniels, Rev. E. W. Strecker, Rev. Asa McDaniels and Rev. D. C. Hill as a committee to co-operate with Chairman Bringle and they are urged to prevail on the members of their congregations for more and better gardens for 1918. Usual number of claims were allowed.
