Charles Stalbaum, of Tefft, formerly trustee of Kankakee township was in Rensselaer Saturday and called at this office. His oldest son, George Stalbaum, who was married a short time ago has moved to Minnesota, where he owns a good one hundred acre farm. George is in the draft and may not be able to farm his land as he expects to be called into the service of Uncle Sam soon. Miss Carrie Eger returned today from Chicago, where she has been visiting with Mrs. John Eger, who is in the Presbyterian hospital there. Mrs. Eger is reported to be doing very nicely and expects to return to her home some time this week.
