SEED CORN SITUATION EXPLAINED The Jasper county branch of the government seed stock committee is lending every effort to make the seed corn testing demonstration to be held in nearly every school house in the county at one o’clock February 22nd, of almost benefit of the farmers. The practical farmers who are to make the demonstration have samples of their seed on test and will be able to speak intelligently on the true questions. In addition to the meetings mentioned in our last issue, following speakers have been assigned: Courthouse: James Amsler. Barkley: „ Harry Gifford, Center; Grant Davisson, Center; Horace Daniels, Center; Eli Arnold, Rosebud; Joe Pullins, Bernstown; John Rusk, Randle; Frank Hensley, Newland. Walker: . A. P. Rice, Knimah; Louis Grube, Norway No. 6; John Pettet, Kennedy; Isaac Knapp, Walker Center; Joseph Salrin, Hershman; Chas. Walker, Buckhorn. All meetings at one o’clock sharp. The work already done by the committee has been of great help in determining the true condition of the seed. Members feel certain that they will be able to supply our farmers with seed if their wants are determined. Director Leader Learning reports that several very promising sources of seed are under consideration.
