CALL OFF SPORTS AT PENN

State College to Close Institution Early to Release Undergraduates for Farm Work. All spring sports will be abandoned this year at Pennsylvania state as a result of the college authorities’ decision to close the institution April 23 in order to release the undergraduates for farm and factory work. There will be no lacrosse, soccer, tennis, or outdoor track meets. Possibly a few Intercollegiate baseball games may be played early in April, before the college term ends.
