There are strong indication* that th eTeutons plan an offensive in Macedonia aimed* at overrunning Greece, expelling the allied expeditionary army and establishing Üboat bases with a view to cutting off Britain’s communication with the far East. On the latter theater preparations for a Turco-Teuton drive under Von Falkenhayne, designed to reconquer Palestine and Mesopotamia, have been rumored for some time* Heavy artillery fire in Macedonia is reported. In the west, on the Flanders, Champagne and Verdun fronts, the German artillery was unusually ac tive during the last twenty-four hours.
