Thirty-Eight Killed In Wreck Near Louisville.

Thirty-eight persons were killed and about thirty-nine others injured Thursday night when Louisville and Nashville passenger train No. 7, from New Orleans to Chicago crashed into the rear end of a Bardstown, Louisville-Springfield accommodation train just south of Shepherdsville, Ky. * ■■ First reports, apparently authentic, had placed the number known dead at sixty-seven and the number of injured at between forty-five and fifty, but this was reduced when an official check of the figures was made.
