OBITUARY

Nancy "J. Burns was born in Jasper county, Indiana on the 7th day April, 1851. Departed this life December 14th, 9:30 p. m. 1917, at the age of 66 years 7 months and 24 days. i She was united -in marriage to Frances M. Goff, December 2nd, 1872, and desided in Jasper county, Indiana until her death. To this union, 9 children were born, Lillian, Mrs. Josiah Davisson, Esty M., Mrs. Harvey Davisson, of Jasper county, Indiana, Arthur of Henry county, Indiana, Phillip of Cisna Park, Illinois, Clarence C., Mattie, Mrs. David Overton, Frances E., of Jasper county, Indiana Cristopher died in infancy, Effie, Mrs. W. S. McConnell of Jasper county, Ind. Nancy J. Hoff was the youngest child of Thomas and Nancy Burns, s os Jasper family of which have all departed this life except one sister, Sarah E. Smith of Jasper of whom she leaves to R mourn their loss. Nancy J. Goff united with the Methodist church while quite young, later transferred her membership to the Christian church and remained in the faith till death.
