Yale Club, New York, Vanderbilt Ave. z - Dec. 15, 1917. Dear Mother and Father:— Can not write very much about what is to happen. But am to report at the officers’ gang-way by 10 o’clock tomorrow morning with baggage so will be on my way. The man whose guest I was, of the Yale club has sure shown me a wonderful time due to the fact of the uniform, was taken out to see the sights of Greenwich Village. You can write me in care of the Port Embarkation, Hoboken, New Jersey, and mark it forward. Do not worry now, think of what a wonderful chance to get started so early to get to do my bit.
