New grain binder will sell for more than S2OO next year. Halstead and Lowman are offering two binders as good as new at their sale, Tuesday, December 18th. The ladies of the Industrial society of the Methodist church will seiwe a cafeteria dinner, Thursday evening, December 6. The publu is invitied. Albert doen returned to his home in Chicago this morning. He attended the meeting of the directors of the First National bank of this city Monday evening. He is a member of the board of directors of this institution. His son, A. Wasson Coen, who received his commission as a second lieutenant last week has been assigned to Camp Dodge, which is near Des Moines, lowa. Mrs. J. N. Stockton is spending the day in Monon. Mrs. Rice Porter will entertain the sewing club this week. H. E. Gifford'is in Monticello today ’attending to business matters. Mrs. J. W. Childers came from Conrad today to spend the day with Mrs. Amsler. p
