Dwiggins Indicted On Mail Fraud Charge

Elmer Dwiggins, who was recently arrested in Montgomery, Ala., and returned to New York by a government agent to answer to a charge of absconding with the money derived from Liberty bond sales was indicted by the New York grand jury, Wednesday. Dwiggins is charged with using the mails to defraud. According to statements issued by Dwiggins the money was lost through speculation and that he had no intention of defrauding the purchasers.
