Francesville Bank Carried $4,000 Burglary Insurance
The State Bank of Francesville, which was robbed Thursday morning, carried burglar insurance to the extent of $4,000, which will reduce the loss of the stockholders to about $7,000. It is also thought that payment on the $6,800 worth of Liberty loan bonds can be prevented, and if so, the total loss would be very small. No trace has been found of the robbers and it is probable that they never will be apprehended. The booty secured by the robbers is itemized as follows: Liberty loan bonds, $5,300; silver, $1,800; stamps, $1,000; currency between, $2,600 and $3,000 and Y. M. C. A. war work fund, several hundred dollars. The officials of the bank are: President, A. Whitaker; Cashier, A. L. Beesly; Assistant Cashier, H. W. Foster.
