Fire Company Called Again This Morning.
The fire company was called again this Wednesday morning. This time the blaze was at the home of F. W Rutherford on College avenue. Sparks from the chimney, falling on the roof was the cause. A hole about four feet square was burned in the roof. Owing to the coal shortage many people are using wood in their cook stoves. Chief Montgomery wishes to issue a warning to all those using wood in their stoves not to stir up the fire by punching at it with the stove poker, as the embers are swept up the chimney and then fall on the roof, where they' lie unnoticed until the house catches on fire.
