A. campaign in this district is due to the splendid manner in which all true friends of our soldiers and sailors got under the patriotic task. The newspapers rendered a great service in this campaign and I want to express to you our hearty appreciation of the co-operation extended by your? paper. . We cannot over-estimate the vital importance of this work to the men in the army and navy and to the cause of Democracy itself. We should all feel proud to have had a part in this great work.
