(Wheatfield Review—-De Motte items) The Y. M. C. A. meeting held at the M. E. church last Thursday evening was well attended and $259.00 was subscribed. Ray Bird of Camp Shelby, religious director delivered an address and told the people of work of the Y. M. C. A. in camp. Captain Capouch of North Judson who is an officer of the army waiting orders told how necessary it was for the people to support the worthy cause, and they did liberally. You have got to take your hat off to the people of De Motte, and the people of the Dutch reformed church and all the people of Keener township for the noble manner in which they contributed to the Y. M. C. A. On Monday evening another meeting was held at the Holland church and was well attended, Rev. Emerich and Ray Bird were the speakers; and everybody was patriotic, and in favor of the Y. M. C. A. work. The sum of $200.50 was subscribed at the Holland church, which with previous subscriptions will , make Keener township subscription total over $500.00.
