FOOTBALL
After but two days’ rest, Captain Gourley and his squad of pigskin chasers, made a trip to Watseka, Hl., to battle the high school team of that city Tuesday. The Suckers were routed by a score of 29 to 0, and the jinz, which has been on the trail of the locals for these past several weeks was put to flight. After going without victory since the Sheridan game the efforts of the Red and Black were Anally rewarded. Despite the fact that they had had a tight battle against Kentland on Saturday, the home team did not show any ill effects and displayed a classier brand of football than they have shown at any time this season. The line plunging of the baekfleld men good and they pulverized the Watseka line at will, their aerial raids were deadly and time and again the local ends snatched the oval out of the atmosphere and carried it into the territory of, the Suckers. The overwhelming score run up convinces the followers of the pastime that Rensselaer is to have a Turkey day victory when South Bend high school puts in her apparence. From now on Coach Meyers will put forth every effort to correct the faults of his men and expects to have them in better shape than any time during the entire season. ,
