At the Front, Oct. 18, 1917. Dear Friend: . - -- -- As I have some time I drop you a couple if lines. Hope’ you are feeling good. The weather is cold and damp here and I have a little cold in my head. The whole world seems to be doing it now. I see Co. M left for camp some time ago. I suppose the town seems rather quiet now. How is “Billie” getting along with the restaurant? I hope he is doing good. We have all we can do here to keep out of the way of the shells. How is hotel business? Ans. soon. I_ VERN C.
