Prominent Mt. Ayr Citizen Died Thursday Evening.

C. J. Hopkins, for a great number of years a citizen of Mt. Ayr, passed away at his home Thursday evening after a lingering illness. Mr. Hopkins was one of the leading factors in the development of Newton county and was quite well known to citizens of this city. The funeral will be held Sunday. morning at Mt. Ayr and burial will be made in Weston cemetery in this city.
