Hamilton, members of the Jasper county hospital board, met in regular monthly session at the hospital Thursday evening. —’. ■ ; " ■ ■ . The report of the superintendent, Miss Mattie Hemphill, for the month of September, was gone over carefully and it was a very g'reat satisfaction to the board to learn that the income, for the 'month had exceeded the expenses. Superintendent Hemphill and those who are working with her are givirig to all under their care the very best of service and splendid attention,, but all are very anxious that the institution shall make the very best showing possible. On account of the very great amount of money that had to be' expended for equipment incident .to the needs of the new Institution, the expenditures have up to this month exceeded the receipts. ' The splendid showing made this month is not only due to the fact that not so much new’ material and supplies did not have to be procured, but also to the x ery careful management of Superintendent Hemphill and her associates.
