Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hopkins are spending the day in Chicago. Miss Madelin Garriott, daughter of James Garriott, returned to her home in Chicago today, after a visit with relatives here. H. W. Gilbert, the Remington garage man, and his brother, L. W. Gilbert, went to Chicago today and will drive two new Elgin automobiles back Friday. Major H. B. Tuteur was called to Indianapolis today. He did not know if he would go into service at once or would be returned home for a short time yet. _ —J; Gv ~ Morris, who has been at Petoskey, Mich., returned to his home at Remington Wednesday. His stay in the Michigan resort resulted in great relief from his annual suffering from hay fever. His daughter, Miss Pearl Morris, who was with him, will not return until a little later. Notice is hereby given that the annual meeting of the Jasper County Chapter of the American Red Cross will be held in the auditorium of the public library, Rensselaer, Ind., Friday evening, October 12, at 7:30.
