Lefler and family. Otis Barnes returned to his home at Edenburg, 111., after a visit here with his brother, Benjamin Barnes. Mrs. Joseph Nesius, Jr., and children went to Chicago this morning for a visit with relatives. Mrs. Joseph Dluzak, of Remington, took the train here this morning for Kankakee, 111., where she has some business matters to look after.

Present indications are that the series will open on the 6th of Oct. at Comiskey Park, although the series may open in New York. New Yorkers are making their pets 7 to 5 favorites in the betting,, but the chances are that even money will prevail when a flood of Chicago money is turned loose on the Hose to win.
