CONVICTS AID THE RED CROSS
“Doing their bit” while “doing time,” might be the motto of the convicts of the Eastern penitentiary, Philadelphia. Some of the prisoners are set at the task of rolling bandages for the Red Cross. The men in the picture, along with others, roll 1,000 bandages'a day. Three hundred bandages are placed in each bag.
