Mt. Ayr Stock Show to Be Held September 21 and 22.

The annual Mt. Ayr stock show swill be held this year on Friday and Saturday, September 21 and 22, and the citizens of Mt. Ayr and surrounding community are preparing for two big days. For the past three or four years the little town just over the Newton county line - has been holding a show every fall and the citizens have become very enthusiastic about them. They have proven to be very beneficial for the farmers and other raisers of stock. It gives the breeders a chance to get together and see what each other is doing in the way of improving their stock from year to year and as a result each year shows that the stock is of a higher grade. A very large per cent have taken up the raising of high grade stock. This is one of the reasons why this section of the state is becoming to be looked upon as the foremost section of the state when it comes to raising high grade stock.
