Veteran Makes Us a Pleasant Call.

C. C. Shue, of Mt. Ayr, was a very pleasant caller at the Republican office Thursday afternoon. Mr. Shue is a veteran of the civil war and had just returned from Lebanon, Ind., where he had attended a reunion of his old comrades of the 87th Indiana. For a while Mr. Shue lived in Canada and owned a farm near Winnipeg. - He is pleased that he is not now living in‘Canady as reports he gets from there indicate that times are not at ail prosperous and many people have lost their entire fortunes. While he has reached the age of three score and nineteen years, he still enjoys very good health. While not able to do a great amount of work, he is quite active and healthful.
