Will Preach Love.

A Rensselaer preacher*'says that he has not had a wedding for a long, long time, and he attributes it to the fact that he has been preaching too much war and not enough love. It is understood that preachers get fees for marriages, funerals and other extra duties. It is a standing story among the preachers that if his people do not pay him his salary they do not love him. That if they do not get married they do not love one another, and if there are no funerals, God does not love them.
