Some men who live by their wits have to get along on very small capItal. An old bachelor says a woman’s heart is like a honeycomb—full of sells. • / '■* The only satisfaction some married women have is that they are not spinsters. Ignorance might be bliss if somebody did not think it his to put us wise. A married man seldom gets the last word because of his inability to remain awake. There are higher things' in life for woman than a good complexion—a pretty hat, for instance. His first love and his first shave are two episodes in every young man’s career that he never forgets. Adam had his foibles, but the records fail to Indicate that he was ever guilty of telling fish stories. , If a man succeeds the world envies him; if he fails it ®penl>sympathizes with him —and secretly rejoices. The father who is always repeating the bright sayings of his children may be good-natured, but he Is tedious.
