(From The Press.) John O’Connor went to Wabash Wednesday oh business. Mrs. Spinnard is very sick this week and her friends are quite uneasy over her condition. Mrs. Walter Gumm went to Kentland Thursday to spend a couple of days with Mrs. Hatch. Frank Timmons is able to get up town once in a while now. Paul Hyman is intending to go to Mishawaka, where he has a good job with a drug company. Frank and Bruce Peck went to Indianapolis Wednesday on business. Mrs. Chauncey Dexter and baby, of Chicago, are guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Green. Miss. Edith Emmel, of Vandalia, 111., came Tuesday evening for a few days’ visit with her uncle, Ai. Atwood and wife. Miss Louise Hartman went to Danville, Ind., Monday to attend teachers’ institute this week. Miss Hartman is to teaoh English in the Danville schools this year. Mr., and Mrs. Cobe Henderson and son, Guy, of Tolleston, Ind., were guests of Mr. and Mrs. T. N. Boicourt for a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Jud Adams, of R-ens-selaer, were Suriday guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Green. Miss Myrtle Ford, of the Henrotin Memorial Hospital, Chicago, came Tuesday for a two weeks’ visit with her mother and other relatives. Miss Adelia Chappell, who is taking training for a nurse in Chicago, is spending a couple of weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Chappell. Mr. and Mrs. John Merritt and children, of Rensselaer, spent Saturday night and Sunday in Remington with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Turner Merritt. Mrs. Sam Thompson, of Monticello, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. Rawlings, the past two or three weeks, returned home Thursday. Emmett O’Connor came home Monday for a short visit with home folks. He returned to Lafayette Wednesday, accompanied by his mother, Mrs. Ellen O’Connor, who will visit at Logansport and Delphi for a couple of weeks. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Crowder and family, of South Bend, Mrs. 'Crowder’s brother, Wm. Isaacs, of Gillespie, 111., Mrs. E. H. Blake, son Loyal and family, Miss Eunice Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Weiss, of Wabash, and Grandma Weiss, of Virgie, Ind., were guests last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Skinner. Miss Eunice Phillips, of Wabash,, came Wednesday for a day with her aunt, Mrs. Leota Hollenbeck. She returned Thursday) taking little Lorene Wood with her. ( Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Weiss, of Wabash, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Skinner last week, Mr. Weiss returning home Thursday. Mrs. Weiss remained for a longer visit.
