Monon Has Put Ban On Speeding of Automobiles.

Having grown tired of seeing the streets of Monon used for a speedway by reckless drivers, the local authorities have decided to put a stop to the practice by rigidly enforcing the state Idws and town ordinances. It is reported that a number of arrests have been made, the edict having gone into force last Sunday. Men are placed at street crossings and are furnished stop watches. Cars are timed as they travel given distances and if the speed exceeds fifteen miles an hour arrest of the driver follows. The law with reference to displaying lights is also being enforced. slt is said that a good effect is already noticeable and that drivers proceed through the town with a great deal more caution than formerly.
