AT PARTING.
Upon our camping ground no more will , play ■ Our soldier boys; past is their holiday. , They heard the call “Brave boys in arms to France;” Now come the parting’s sad and strange romance. But maidens fair, clothed in seraphic grace, Let not a tear betray your smiling face. Display the nobler gift of heart and ibrain. For by God’s hand we’ll see our boy’s again. And mothers dear amidst this strife and care, Be brave, be strong, act well Jihe hero’s (Share; Let not your boys see tears unbidden flow; They feel the iheart's deep pain which grieves you so. They choke it down because they’re true and brave. And wish you from the parting pain to save. They hide" the grief we all too deeply feel — Sacred to say, and sacred to conceal.
