Chapncey Wood made a business trip to Delphi today. W. A. Lutz left this morning for a business trip to Lafayette. Miss Amy Bringle, of Fair Oaks,, arrived in this city today for a short visit. Miss Lena Weise returned to her home at Milwaukee after a short visit with Miss Mary Yates. Dr. A. P. Rainier, of Remington, was in Rensselaer today looking after some business matters. Mrs. Charles V. May has returned to her home from Mudlavia. ♦ Her condition is only slightly improved. Mrs. Floy Smith returned to her home at Bainbridge, today after a visit with relatives here. John Braddock left for Detroit, this morning to drive back a new car for M. I. Adams & Son.:—_ Thomas and Margaret Clifford returned to their home at Valparaiso today after a visit with Chas. Sigo. Miss Oka Pancoast Returned from Waverly, Minn., today after a visit of two weeks, during which time she made a short lake trip.
James D._ E. Nelson, who was one of the last quota called by the local board here and who passed successfully the physical examination, was in Rensselaer today. He has just returned from Chicago, where he had been to get a recommend from a former employer. He desires to offer his services as a mechanic. Mr. Nelson owns and operates a farm in Walker township and will ask that he be given time to care for his crop before entering the army service.
